Outlook Express Email Client Configuration

Where can I find Outlook Express / latest version of Outlook Express ?

If your machine is not preinstall with a copy of outlook express or is an older version
of Outlook Express, you may download a copy from
http://www.microsoft.com

Locate and Run your copy of Outlook Express. The Icon looks like this



Once the program started, click on Tools followed by Accounts



Click on Mail followed by Add and then Mail...



Under the Display name, type in your own Personal Name as shown below and click Next



Select the option as shown and key in your E-mail address as provided and click Next
For example :
If your email is This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it replace the line
This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it with This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it



Select the incoming mail server as POP3 shown and key in your
Incoming Mail Server
For example :
If your email is This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , replace anything before the @ with "mail."
This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it will become mail.nex-venture.com
( Note : There is a DOT after the mail. )

SMTP Server ( Outgoing ):
For Example:

If you subscrible to Pacific Internet or Pacific Broadband, put
smtp.pacific.net.sg and replace the line Your ISP smtp server

If you subscrible to others ISP, simply replace the line Your ISP smtp server as shown below to your ISP SMTP server.

Some common local ISP SMTP Servers
Cyberway Internet - smtp.cyberway.com.sg
Singnet Internet - mail.singnet.com.sg
Starhub Internet - smtp.mystarhub.com.sg



Account Name:

For example :
If your email is This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , replace the @ with %
agnes%nex-venture.com
( Note : It is an "%" and not an "@" )

For example :
If your email is This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , replace the line
myaccount%mycompany.com with agnes%nex-venture.com

To Save your password, key in your password and tick on the Remember Password
and click Next to continue.



Click Finish to end the configuration.



Click Close to exit or double click to view the configuration or re-edit
( REMEMBER to restart your Outlook Express for setting to take effect )
