Outlook Email Client Configuration

Where can I find Outlook / latest version of Outlook ?
If your machine is not preinstall with a copy of outlook or is an old version
of Outlook, you get copy from
http://www.microsoft.com

Locate and Run your copy of Outlook. The Icon looks like this



Once the program started, click on Tools followed by Services



Click on Add followed by Internet E-mail and then Ok



There are 5 fields in the General page
Server:
Name:
Organization:
E-mail address:
Reply address:




Server:
Type in your repective email server here.
Example:
If your email is This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , replace anything before the @ with "mail."
This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it will become mail.nex-venture.com
( Note : There is a DOT after the mail. )

Name:
Type in your own personal name in this field

Organization:
Type in your company or department name.

E-mail address:

Type is your respective email address here.
Example:
If your email is This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , key in as shown above

Reply address:
Type is your respective email address here.
Example:
If your email is This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , key in as shown above



Click on the Server page. There are 4 fields that are required.

Incoming mail (POP3):

Type in your repective email server here.
Example:
If your email is This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , replace anything before the @ with "mail."

( Note : There is a DOT after the mail. )

SMTP Server ( Outgoing ):

For Example:
If you subscrible to Pacific Internet or Pacific Broadband, put
smtp.pacific.net.sg as shown above.

If you subscrible to others ISP, simply replace the line smtp.pacific.net.sg as shown above to your ISP SMTP server.

Some common local ISP SMTP Servers
Cyberway Internet - smtp.cyberway.com.sg
Singnet Internet - mail.singnet.com.sg
Starhub Internet - smtp.mystarhub.com.sg

( You may like to call up your repective ISP for the proper ISP information or check it up on your ISPs column )

Account name:
For example :
If your email is This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , replace the @ with %
agnes%nex-venture.com
( Note : It is an "%" and not an "@" )

Password:
To Save your password, key in your password and tick on the Remember Password
and click Ok to continue.

( REMEMBER to restart your Outlook for setting to take effect )
