What is WWW and what so great about it ?
What you are looking at now and reading are information on a web page. A Website is like a book where all these pages from a certain organization are kept in. Hence, the World Wide Web is just like a huge electronic library with millions of websites.
A "normal" Web site has a URL (Address ) that looks like this: http://www.nex-venture.com. You may have noticed that on many sites, the "www" part is not required. You can just as easily use http://nex-venture.com to get to Nex-Venture.
How to start a Website?
Setting up a website is just like setting a shop. First, you will need to register a name for your shop. Most likely the name is unique in your area. Follow by that, you will need to look for a shop space. Last but not least, you need to renovate your shop front. Hence, there are a total of 3 simple steps.
As for a website, the steps are similar.
Step ( 1 )
For a website, a domain name is require. Domain name must be unique worldwide and the best practice is to keep it short or easy to remember. Example : http://www.nex-venture.com. The nex-venture.com is the domain name.
Step ( 2 )
The second step is to look for hosting company that provide webspace. Nex-Venture is one such company. A typical webspace required less than 20MB but we will provide more than what you will need.
Step ( 3 )
A webspace need to be design and tailor for your needs. Normally a graphic designer will be required to do this piece job. Sound like a office design right ? Once the design is ready, these pages will be loaded onto the WWW for your clients to access.
